Here is a demonstration painting from the “painting from imagination” workshop I taught in at the amazing @9threalmgallery in Salem Massachusetts. First is outdoor photo, second is indoor, interesting difference! I got to put some extra time into it during the optional 3rd day. It’s been such a privilege to be around a group of artists that are at a super high level in both tattooing and painting. I’m humbled and energized by the experience. The shop itself is a magical place, with every square inch covered by artwork you’d expect to see at an elite “fine art” gallery and what seems like a million tattoo convention trophies and awards. The work ethic and creative passion from this group was infectious. Plus great food and hacky sack, what more could you want. And Colt made some more progress on my tattoo!
