In between our GREAT meandering conversations about art, my friend and mentor extraordinaire Colt @fineartfirst continued working on my tattoo last week during our @empireinks trip to visit @jacobsheffieldart in Colorado. So pleased to have Colt creating my first tattoo. Even though he’s explained it multiple times and I’ve witnessed the implementation on his clients and on myself, his design process is so authentic and unique that I’m only just starting to understand the intricacies. I wish I could communicate it better. Colt walks a different path. In the very simplest terms, it’s a process of discovery. Which resonates with me. His approach is high effort Art with a capital A. I’m getting something special and we both know it. It’s not just a tattoo (and a gorgeous one at that), it’s a wholly unique experience.
